As today is International Women’s Day, we felt this was the perfect time to introduce you to one of our ‘Friends of Wild Beauty’. Since we launched the brand, we have been delighted to have met so many amazing inspiring women who share our values and ethos: women who are all experts in their own fields and we are honoured to have them as part of the Wild Beauty family.
Today, meet Nadira Tudor, international multimedia broadcast journalist, presenter, host & moderator who specialises in Crisis Communication and Media Relations.
Nadira grew up in North Wales, but her life in front of the camera and behind the microphone has taken her all over the world where she has worked alongside the military, reported for mainstream broadcasters from overseas, interviewed numerous celebrities and prominent figures as well as shining a spotlight on a myriad of fascinating people doing amazing things around the world.
We caught up with Nadira to talk about her beauty routine in a life that can mean glamorous events one day and travelling to far flung areas for a gritty interview the next.
My earliest memory of beauty is watching my mother putting on a tiny amount of make-up for an event or family get-togethers. She was very beautiful and all she used was some black eyeliner, face powder and lipstick. I used to love watching her get ready and seeing a minor transformation that made her glow. A memory I will never forget.
In terms of her skincare routine, Nadira favours a “less is more” approach and is keen to point out that beauty is more about enhancement than disguise. Nadira has learnt that good skincare is the key to one’s overall appearance – with good skin you naturally don’t need to apply as much make up.
I have a simple beauty routine, I don’t wear foundation and prefer minimal makeup – I find that if your skin is in good condition, you don’t need a lot of make-up, even with HDTV. My key products are eyeliner, mascara, and some under eye concealer. When I wake up, I usually apply Wild Beauty’s Protecting Day Cream on my face and then apply my make-up. At night, I cleanse and use a warm cloth to remove my make-up and apply the Wild Beauty Restorative Overnight Cream. Once a month, I will use a face mask for a deep clean, but generally I like to keep it natural, low maintenance and simple!
